This November 7, the Buffalo Township Parks and Recreation department, in conjunction with the Buffalo Township EMS and Sarver Volunteer Fire Department, will be hosting a Veteran’s Day 10K, to help honor veterans and raise support for Heroes Supporting Heroes. It is a charity that helps serve and assist western Pennsylvania’s veterans and their families. The run will follow the Butler Freeport trail for 6.2 miles, and will begin at 9 a.m., though registration opens up at 7:30 a.m. If you’d like to support this great cause, the 10K is a fun way to do so, while also building lasting memories with your friends and family.
How to Register for This Great Cause
Runners will meet at the Monroe Road trailhead of Butler Freeport Trail. You can pre-apply for the race by visiting the November calendar at http://smileymiles.com. The pre-registraton rate is $30 per person, or $25 per child, 17-years-old or younger. Pre-registration ends October 24, 2015. The cost to register October 25, and beyond, is $35. Trophies will be awarded after the race for the top three male and female runners.
