Dentistry from the Heart

Keelan Dental is out to change lives by offering free smiles to anyone who needs dental work, as they host the latest event for Dentistry From The Heart.  In the past three years, Dr. Keelan and his team of dentists, sponsors, and volunteers have helped over 150 people in need of dental work – treating patients in need of fillings, extractions, and cleanings.

Dentistry From The Heart (DFTH) is a registered national non-profit organization with a simple mission – making people smile.  Founded in 2001 by Dr. Vincent Monticciolo, a dentist in Port Richey, Florida, DFTH was created to give back to the community and address the growing number of people without dental insurance.  Over 100 million Americans lack dental insurance, and over 29 percent of adults have untreated cavities.  Without events like DFTH, dental care simply isn’t an option for many of the uninsured.  In the past seven years, DFTH has helped over 5,000 patients and provided over $1 million in dental care.

Since 2014, Keelan Dental has seen over 280 patients and provided over $77,000 in FREE treatment at this annual event.  We would like to thank all of our volunteers that help to make this event possible.

“Now more than ever, I know there are people that are in need of dental services and have no means to afford them – whether they are out of a job, or just don’t have dental insurance.  This Dentistry From The Heart event is my way of giving back to my community.” Dr. Paul Keelan
